San Giovanni di Sinis Beachfront houses
San Giovanni di Sinis beach is located along the seaside village of San Giovanni di Sinis, near the small village of Funtana Meiga. San Giovanni di Sinis beach extends for approximately 4 kilometers along the western side of the peninsula of Sinis (Penisola del Sinis). I San Giovanni di Sinis beach is surrounded by a great variety of environments and landscapes, including fossil sand cliffs up to 10 meters high that are known as the “steps of the beach”. San Giovanni di Sinis beach has a large car park that is suitable for camping vehicles. There are many restaurant and cafes in the nearby area. This beach too is a popular surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling spot. If you happen to be in the province of Oristano, this certainly is one of the most beautiful places to visit.
What fascinated me was the architecture and variety of beach houses and visiting in low season provided a ghost town experience, but a captivating one. Those with a love of architecture will love this part of Sardinia.
Here are some of the images I captured.
